Position Summary:
TheSenior Human Resources Generalistis a strategic HR partner within the food and beverage manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for providing HR support and leadership to assigned teams, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations while driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement, retention, and performance. The role collaborates closely with plant leadership, supervisors, and employees to promote a positive and productive work culture.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor?s degreeinHuman Resources, Business Administration, or a related fieldrequired.
- 5+ yearsof progressive HR Generalist experience, with demonstrated expertise in employee relations, talent acquisition, compliance, and training.
- 2+ yearsof supervisory experience, preferably leading HR support teams or administrative staff.
- Experience working in amanufacturing environment, preferably food & beverage processing, is highly preferred.
- Proficiency inHRIS platformssuch asKronos, Workday, or similar HR management systems.
- Experience withHR system upgrades and implementationsis a plus.
- Strong knowledge ofemployment laws and regulations, includingFMLA, ADA, OSHA, FLSA, Title VII, and Workers' Compensation.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations & Performance Management:
- Providesguidance and supportto employees, supervisors, and managers onemployee relations issues, workplace conflicts, and performance management.
- Coachessupervisors and managersonperformance improvement plans (PIPs), corrective action processes, and disciplinary proceduresto maintain a fair and consistent approach.
- Investigatesemployee complaints, misconduct allegations, or policy violations, ensuring prompt and thorough resolution while mitigating risks for the company.
- Facilitatesconflict resolution discussionsto foster a positive and productive work environment.
HR Operations & Compliance:
- Ensurescompliance with federal, state, and local labor lawsand company policies, including FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, and non-discrimination regulations.
- Manages theadministration of FMLA, OFLA, STD, and other leave of absence programs, ensuring accurate documentation and communication with employees.
- Overseesthe processing of job requisitions, hiring activities, and onboarding for salaried employeesin collaboration with hiring managers.
- Assists incompensation reviews and salary benchmarking, ensuring competitive and equitable pay structures.
- Maintains and updates theHourly Employee Handbookand ensures HR policies and procedures arecurrent and aligned with company standards.
- Partners with theSafety & Compliance teamto support workplace safety initiatives and regulatory adherence.
Training & Development:
- Conductsnew hire orientation sessionsto ensure employees understand company policies, expectations, and workplace culture.
- Providessupervisory trainingto new and existing managers on leadership, conflict resolution, performance management, and legal compliance.
- Deliversworkplace training programs, includingnon-harassment, workplace violence prevention, and safety compliance.
- Assists in the development and execution ofemployee engagement and wellness programsto promote a healthy work environment.
HR Data Management & Reporting:
- Tracks and maintains keyHR metrics,includingturnover rates, headcount, applicant flow, new hires, promotions, and terminations.
- PreparesHR reports and analyticsto provide insights on workforce trends and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborates with leadership onHR data-driven decision-makingto enhance employee experience and productivity.
Employee Engagement & Culture Development:
- Serves as anHR representativeon variouscommittees, special projects, and community outreach initiatives.
- Assists indeveloping and executing employee engagement strategiesto enhance workplace morale and job satisfaction.
