CM Benefits Manager


  • BS Degree from an accredited college
  • 5-8+ years of relevant benefits/retirement administration and supervisory experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or union environment or similar industry preferred.
  • Exceptional skills in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Direct experience with UltiPro HRM Systems and SAP Financial Systems
  • ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, ACA, Section 125, workers compensation, Medicare and Social Security and DOL requirements
  • HR/Benefits Certification (CBP/PHR/SPHR) desirable

Executing the day-to-day operations of group benefit and retirement programs. Administers and maintains benefit programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with state and federal laws. Ensures programs meet employee needs, comply with legal requirements, and are cost-effective. Develops benefit communications and counsels employees on benefit-related issues. Evaluates existing benefit programs against peer organizations to determine competitiveness, trends, and developments. Additionally, monitors projects/department milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets.


  • Administer all aspects of benefits administration for the company s group benefit and voluntary benefit programs, including enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, distributions, loans, hardships and compliance testing, in conjunction with human resources team, broker, and third-party administrators.
  • Responsible for the development and execution of company communication regarding benefits.
  • Manages relationships and communications between consultants, administrative vendors, and insurance carriers to ensure the quality of service and adherence to standards set.
  • Handle benefits inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and auditing of all employee benefits to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable government regulations
  • Responsible for the processing and auditing of monthly benefits invoices.
  • Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
  • Serves as the primary contact for employees, plan vendors, and third-party administrators.
  • Coordinates the transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums, and plan administration.
  • Evaluates and revises internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
  • Ensures timeliness and accuracy of required filings.
  • Maintain HRIS, benefits record-keeping, and benefit file maintenance.
  • Assists in the management of the benefits plan renewal process
  • Analyze current benefits, evaluating the use, services, coverage, effectiveness, cost, plan experience, and competitive trends in benefits programs and identify the company s stance
  • Manages and administers company leave of absence programs
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
