Position Overview
C&S Wholesale Grocers desires to create the most safe, efficient, and service forward fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver with C&S Wholesale Grocers, you will start your driving career with the company by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching and insight on the C&S Way which includes company and regulatory requirements. Once you have successfully completed our new hire training program, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Job Description
1st shift, Monday-Friday - some weekends
Starting Pay: $33 per hour

Description
- Utilizing the specialized skills developed with experience and the C&S Professional Driver Training Program, you will operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler/box truck, etc), applying knowledge of training and commercial driving regulations, to transport and safely deliver product
- Driver will load and unload (ambient or temperature sensitive) product to customers on an average of 3-10 stops per day
- Driver will inspect, document and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements
- Inspect equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements

- Store : Freezer (-20F to 0F)
- Warehouse : Perishable Warehouse (28F to 60F)
- Warehouse : Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)
Skills
- Specialized Knowledge : DOT Certified, Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Special Skills : Must be at least 21 years old
- Physical abilities: : Valid Department Of Transportation Physical Exam.
- Other: : Must be DOT certified with all qualification requirements

Years Of Experience
- 1-2 : Minimum 1 year of recent tractor-trailer experience
- 1-2 : Supporting a large Enterprise Storage environment
- 1-2 : One year of recent applicable CMV experience or participation/completion of a company-approved CDL truck driving school
