Food Talent Solutions is partnering with a well-established food and beverage manufacturer to identify a Plant Engineer.
This is a hands-on process and project engineering role focused on improving plant performance, leading capital projects, and partnering with operations and maintenance to strengthen reliability, throughput, and efficiency. Although the title is Plant Engineer, the position is primarily centered on process improvement and project execution rather than facilities or power plant engineering.
Key Role Information
- Support a 24/7 manufacturing facility with three production lines.
- Lead 3–5 projects at a time, with individual project values reaching approximately $1M–$2M
- Manage projects from initial scope and equipment selection through installation, startup, and completion
- Identify opportunities to improve throughput, reduce downtime, and strengthen equipment reliability
- Partner closely with plant leadership, operations, maintenance, quality, continuous improvement, and corporate engineering
- Conduct time trials, root-cause analysis, equipment evaluations, and process-improvement initiatives
- Report to the Plant Manager with a dotted-line relationship to the Lead Process Engineer
