Academic Qualifications Required-
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering required - Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical preferred.
Experience Required-
Minimum 5 years programming PLC (Rockwell 5, 500, 5000, Studio 5000), HMI (Wonderware Intouch,
Rockwell Factory Talk, Panelview/Panelview Plus),Ethernet IP networking applications.
Qualifications-
Must possess strong written skills for technical documentation and SOPs Must be able to work with
Engineering, Maintenance and other departments throughout the facility in a technical support role. Support includes solving problems related to the following: PLC/HMIs, control systems, control system software (including version control), control networks, VFD configuration/integration and project support.
Essential Job Functions-
Maintain and program PLC/HMI systems hardware and software. Oversee all PLC program files, updates and documentation. Maintain integrity of the plant industrial Ethernet network, including design and documentation. Provide PLC/VFD network integration support. Provide support for Servo applications. Oversee all electrical and PLC drawing modifications that originate from the Electrical Maintenance group. Assist with maintenance of Wonderware System Platform software to include tag development, tag maintenance, system upgrades and problem solving. Interface with Engineering and contractors on projects to provide PLC support as needed and ensure current standards are being followed. Provide technical support for maintenance technicians including development of training programs to enhance individual technical skills. Maintain upgrades for all HMI and PLC and VFD application software including firmware upgrades for all PLCs/VFDs/Ethernet Switches as required. Provide initial configuration and software installation on all new maintenance terminals (Laptops) and troubleshoot as needed. Complete new PLC and HMI projects, including design, programming, installation, implementation and documentation. Support FAT/commissioning/qualification activities as required. Provide support for Umatilla facility as needed - some travel required.
Additional Job Duties-
Provide support after hours (remote and/or on site) as necessary. Proficient work experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications. Regular attendance required. Must interact cordially with co-workers.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
