Summary:
Strategic and technically skilled Project Engineer with 5+ years of experience in manufacturing environments, specializing in process optimization, equipment integration, and cross-functional project leadership. Expert in analyzing production data to identify inefficiencies, enhance throughput, and improve quality performance. Proven ability to support new product introductions, implement Lean and continuous improvement methodologies, and drive operational excellence through data-driven decision-making and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure strict adherence to all site safety regulations and maintain a safe, compliant production environment.

  • Schedule and deliver safety training for team members on new equipment and procedures.

  • Enforce compliance with company and industry safety standards across all work areas.

Production Data Analysis & Process Improvement

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret complex production data to identify performance trends and improvement opportunities.

  • Develop, document, and implement process enhancements to boost productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.

  • Provide training and coaching to personnel to ensure consistent adoption of new processes across shifts.

Documentation & Standardization

  • Develop and maintain detailedStandard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and checklists for existing and new product lines.

  • Ensure all documentation is clear, accurate, and scalable for future process expansion.

  • Support internal audits and continuous improvement reviews through accurate process documentation.

Trial Planning & New Product Development

  • Plan, execute, and document production trials for new products and business opportunities.

  • Coordinate withR&D and Productionteams to ensure seamless new line startups, meeting all resource, training, and timeline requirements.

  • Act as theprimary customer contactfor new product launches and process optimization initiatives.

Equipment Management & Technical Support

  • Research, evaluate, and recommend equipment upgrades or new acquisitions to support production goals.

  • Manage and optimizePLC (Programmable Logic Controller)systems to ensure reliable, efficient operations.

  • Partner with maintenance teams to troubleshoot, repair, and enhance equipment performance and reliability.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams

  • Work closely withProduction Managers and Material Plannersto optimize schedules, balancing efficiency, labor, and inventory needs.

  • Partner withMaintenance Techniciansto address process and equipment challenges, reducing downtime and improving reliability.

  • SupportProcess Techniciansby providing technical guidance and troubleshooting expertise.

Project Leadership

  • Lead assigned engineering and process improvement projects, managing timelines, resources, and budgets to successful completion.

  • Prepare and present progress reports, documenting milestones, results, and improvement outcomes.

Pricing, Yield, and Throughput

  • Develop accurate pricing worksheets and cost estimates based on throughput, yield targets, and production efficiency.

  • Define standard rates and performance benchmarks for new and existing product lines.

  • Support cost reduction initiatives through improved process capability and performance tracking.

Resource Optimization & Continuous Improvement

  • Maximize the use of available and excess equipment to strengthen production capacity and flexibility.

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives across all functions, driving sustainable efficiency and reliability gains.

  • Perform other duties as assigned, adapting to evolving business needs and supporting long-term plant success.

Education, Training, & Experience:

  • Bachelor?s degreein Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field preferred).

  • 5+ yearsof experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on process engineering, production management, or related disciplines.

  • Experience withPLC systems,Lean Manufacturing, andcontinuous improvement methodologiesstrongly preferred.
