Education/Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor?s degree inChemical Engineeringor related Engineering degree
  • Experience: 8+ years in process engineering roles withinfood and beverage manufacturing.
  • Expertise in food processing equipment, materials, and general dairy processing systems such as pasteurization and separation.
  • Proficiency inpump and piping system designand other dairy processing equipment.
  • Familiarity with project lifecycle deliverables, contracts, and schedules.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, SEEQ, CAPE/TOPS, and AutoCAD.
  • Preferred Knowledge: Experience in dairy processing technologies, including thermal processing and separation systems.

Summary:

The Principal Process Engineer will play a vital role in supporting daily manufacturing operations and spearheading technical process engineering for capital projects. Focuses on defining, documenting, and implementing cutting-edge manufacturing technologies while maintaining and enhancing machinery and processing specifications. Demonstrate strong leadership, decision-making, and self-sufficiency, ensuring the successful execution of engineering projects and operational support.

  • Serve as theprocessing subject matter expert, collaborating with teams in project management, automation, and performance optimization.
  • Design and develop systems for dairy and non-dairy equipment and products.
  • Update and modifyProcess Flow Diagrams (PFDs)andPiping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)to reflect current and future operations.
  • Engage in all project phases, including initial planning, proposal generation, equipment specification, installation, commissioning, and start-up.
  • Partner with plant operations, project managers, and cross-functional teams to define and meet project objectives within scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Guide packaging-related projects and collaborate withR&D, Quality Assurance, and Sales & Marketingdepartmentsto develop innovative processing solutions.
  • Act as a liaison with operations, marketing, quality, sales, and equipment suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Take onproject management responsibilitiesfor select initiatives, overseeing progress and deliverables.
