Education/Experience:
- Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years in engineering project management, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
- Experience leading large-scale greenfield or complex capital projects, ideally valued in the hundreds of millions.
- Strong grounding in engineering principles and capital equipment design, selection, and commissioning.
- Project Leadership: Deep experience in scheduling, budgeting, construction oversight, and resource coordination.
- PMP, Six Sigma, or other relevant credentials are a plus.
- Adaptability: Proven ability to lead teams through complex challenges and shifting priorities.
- Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally to equipment suppliers, vendor sites, or partner facilities as needed.
Overview:
Senior Executive Engineering Leader responsible for the strategic direction, execution, and successful delivery of major capital projects. This role leads a multidisciplinary team of project, process, and equipment engineers tasked with managing the full project lifecycle from design and construction to start-up and commissioning. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in large-scale greenfield projects, engineering management, and cross-functional leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Provide vision and strategic leadership to engineering teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and project milestones.
- Develop and execute engineering strategies to support the successful launch and long-term operational efficiency of new manufacturing assets.
Project Execution & Oversight
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of high-value capital projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Maintain accountability for engineering project schedules, resource planning, and deliverable quality.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the key liaison between engineering teams and senior leadership, vendors, and other departments.
- Ensure transparent, consistent communication and engagement with all project stakeholders.
Resource & Risk Management
- Optimize team performance through effective resource allocation and project prioritization.
- Identify project risks early and implement proactive mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
Quality & Compliance
- Guarantee adherence to internal quality standards, industry regulations, and safety protocols throughout all project phases.
