The objective of this contracted position is to perform administrative, safety, environmental and operational activities at the Bayer Field Solutions research station in Fresno, California, ensuring compliance with regulations and corporate guidelines. In this role the incumbent will process safety and environmental programs to maintain the license to operate a research facility dedicated to developing new agricultural solutions for grower success. The responsibilities include administrative, and SSHE (Safety, Sustainability, Health, and Environment) tasks.
The tasks include, but are not limited to:Administrative;
- Process payment for monthly bills, services and supplies
- Follow up with vendors and seasonal labor contracting agencies
- Manage the front desk activities, such as shipping and receive packages
- Organize and maintain hard copies of key documents and permits
- Book appointments with contractors and inspectors
- Act as Bayer’s Contractor Management Representative
- Order station supplies
SSHE;
- Be responsible for a variety of safety and environmental programs
- Conduct timely station safety inspections (house keeping, fire extinguishers, tanks, hazardous materials, etc.)
- Submit the maintenance spray records to local authorities
- Perform inventory of safety supplies and keep it fully stock
- Update inventories with experimental, labeled and station products
- Maintain emergency stations throughout the facility
- Support the proper disposal of different waste streams (hazardous and non-hazardous)
Requirements/Preferences:- Education minimum requirement HS Diploma.
- An Associate’s degree or Bachelor degree would be a plus.
Skills & Competency Requirements:Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proactive mindset and attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point). Familiar with data entry and good recordkeeping. Experienced with document management and filing systems. Handling correspondence and phone calls professionally. Ability to drive pool company vehicles safely. Understanding about safety and personal protective equipment. Good inventory tracking abilities. Experienced with OSHA regulations is a plus.
Preferences:- An Associate’s degree or Bachelor degree on health and safety, agriculture, plant sciences, or related field.
Special requirement:- Lift Test ~ 50 lbs.
- Ability to meet DOT guidelines to drive pool vehicles.

Compensation:This is a contracted position. Compensation will be determined by the contracting agency based on a variety of factors, such as experience.
