HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE
As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability, performance, and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. Leveraging your mechanical and electrical expertise, you will support preventive and predictive maintenance programs, troubleshoot equipment issues, and drive continuous improvement efforts that minimize downtime and maximize production. Your ability to train and mentor others while maintaining critical plant systems will directly contribute to operational excellence and product quality.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform maintenance, repair, and installation work on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to minimize downtime.
- Inspect, maintain, and test:
- Power panels and power supplies
- Motor starters and controls
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Inverters
- Electrical distribution equipment
- Wire and unwire single-phase, three-phase, and DC motors.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues before failures occur.
- Assist equipment operators in preventing and resolving operating issues.
Controls & Instrumentation
- Troubleshoot and maintain:
- Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
- HMI systems
- Input/output devices
- Sensors
- Relays
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Calibrate and maintain:
- Flow controllers
- Level controllers
- Temperature controllers
- Relays
- Scales
- Salt probes
- Instrumentation systems
- Analyze problem codes and equipment information from HMI interfaces.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities to maintain equipment reliability.
- Complete assigned preventive maintenance work orders on schedule.
- Update and maintain maintenance records within SAP and other maintenance systems.
- Support reliability initiatives and partner with Reliability Technicians to address issues identified through predictive technologies.
- Lubricate equipment according to preventive maintenance schedules and observed equipment conditions.
- Requisition replacement parts and maintain accurate maintenance documentation.
Maintenance Planning & Execution
- Support the development and maintenance of PM programs alongside the Maintenance Systems Lead (MSL).
- Implement equipment maintenance best practices recommended by equipment vendors.
- Maintain accurate daily work confirmations and maintenance schedules.
- Communicate work progress and escalate issues to leadership as needed.
- Support Line Technicians during equipment outages when approved by leadership.
Safety, Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Follow all plant safety procedures and participate in safety training programs.
- Comply with food safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Utilize proper cleaning procedures and chemical handling practices in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS/MSDS).
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, efficiency, and safety.
- Train and mentor Mechanics, Apprentices, and Pre-Apprentices as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
- Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as business needs require.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
(MUST HAVE)
- High School Diploma or GEDand3-5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience;OR
- Associate Degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Electronic Technology, or a related field and 2 years of Industrial Maintenance experience.
- Demonstrated mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Working knowledge of:
- AC/DC electrical circuits
- Motor ratings
- Basic electrical wiring practices
- Industrial controls systems
- Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment failures.
- Ability to demonstrate maintenance aptitude through testing, observation, hands-on evaluations, and/or written assessments.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when required.
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE

- Advanced SAP experience.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining PLC-controlled equipment.
- Experience with predictive maintenance and reliability programs.
- Experience creating and managing preventive maintenance programs.
- Experience in a food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods (CPG) environment.
- Experience mentoring or training maintenance technicians.
- Advanced electrical troubleshooting and controls experience.
- Knowledge of equipment reliability methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
- Experience collaborating with vendors on maintenance best practices.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
