Clemens Food Group is seeking aSenior Industrial Maintenance Mechanicto support our Wastewater Treatment operation in Hatfield, PA. We're looking for a hands-on problem solver who can independently troubleshoot mechanical equipment, identify root causes, and make effective repairs.
This opportunity is ideal for a mechanic who takes ownership of equipment problems, enjoys figuring out why something isn't working, and wants to continue developing their technical skills. You'll work with industrial pumps, valves, motors, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and other equipment that keeps our large-scale pork manufacturing operation running safely and reliably.
Previous wastewater experience is not required.We're looking for strong mechanical troubleshooting ability and the drive to learn.
What You'll Do
Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, install, and maintain industrial mechanical equipment
Identify root causes of mechanical failures and determine effective repairs to reduce recurring breakdowns
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and lubrication to support equipment reliability
Maintain and repair pumps, valves, motors, conveyors, belts, chains, and other mechanical systems
Safely work with and wire460V three-phase motors
Respond to equipment breakdowns, prioritize repairs, and work with Wastewater Operations to minimize downtime
Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and reliability
Document maintenance activities and completed repairs
What We're Looking For
2+ years of hands-on industrial or mechanical maintenance experience
Strong mechanical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills
Ability to independently diagnose equipment failures and determine appropriate repairs
Experience performing preventive maintenance and industrial equipment repairs
Ability to safely work with and wire460V three-phase motors
Ability to prioritize repairs, make sound maintenance decisions, and work independently
Strong initiative, accountability, and willingness to learn
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and stand for extended periods throughout the shift
Preferred, but Not Required:
5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
Hands-on experience with pumps, valves, actuators, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and mechanical drive systems
Familiarity with industrial electrical systems, motors, and control circuits
Ability to read mechanical, hydraulic, and equipment schematics
Previous experience in wastewater treatment, food manufacturing, rendering, or other industrial process environments
Know the Environment
Our Wastewater Treatment operation supports a large-scalepork manufacturing facility, treating process water and organic material generated through manufacturing and related operations.
This is an industrial wastewater environment andis not a clean or odor-free work setting.
Candidates should be comfortable:
Working around wastewater, organic material, process by-products, and strong odors
Working in areas that may be wet, humid, hot, cold, or dirty
Working around pumps, tanks, piping, treatment equipment, moving machinery, and wastewater treatment chemicals
Getting dirty when troubleshooting or completing repairs requires it
Wearing required PPE and following established safety and Lockout/Tagout procedures
The work can be demanding, but it is critical to the safe and reliable operation of our wastewater treatment process and broader manufacturing operation.
