Maintenance Manager

Lead and manage maintenance operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance. This role is responsible for developing and executing maintenance strategies, improving equipment reliability, overseeing maintenance projects, optimizing costs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Maintenance Manager provides leadership and technical guidance to the maintenance team while ensuring equipment, facilities, and systems operate at peak performance and meet applicable safety and environmental requirements.

Principal / Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

• Develop and implement maintenance programs, equipment improvement initiatives, and projects to enhance plant performance and equipment reliability.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure maintenance personnel consistently follow established safety standards and procedures.
• Manage, hire, train, and develop maintenance staff to meet departmental and facility needs.
• Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance activities are completed effectively and maintenance records are accurately maintained for all assets.
• Ensure maintenance projects comply with applicable local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and long-term operational objectives.
• Manage the maintenance management system and ensure effective maintenance planning, execution, and recordkeeping.
• Coordinate and oversee work performed by outside contractors and service vendors.
• Identify opportunities to optimize maintenance spending while maintaining equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to support plant performance and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Five or more years of relevant maintenance or manufacturing experience.
• Understanding of maintenance management systems and processes, preventive and predictive maintenance, manufacturing technologies, and standard software applications.
• Strong communication, mathematical, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel to other facilities.
