Position Summary
Our Specialty Food Retailer is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Associate to keep our specialty food stores operating smoothly. This role is ideal for a reliable, mechanically skilled professional who enjoys problem-solving, staying active, and assisting with facility needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Communicate maintenance priorities clearly with store leadership
• Hands-on facility maintenance and repairs
• Troubleshoot and address plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general equipment issues
• Perform minor carpentry, patching, painting, fixture repairs, and general building upkeep
• Conduct routine inspections and proactively identify maintenance needs
• Order and manage maintenance tools, parts, and supplies
• Escalate issues requiring licensed professionals to the Store Manager and General Manager
• Maintain basic records of repairs, inspections, and servicing schedules
• Working knowledge of food safety and storage requirements
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred
Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on maintenance or facilities experience
• Retail, grocery or food service environment experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
• Refrigeration experience or certification is a plus, not a requirement
