HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE
As a Maintenance Operator, you will play a key role in supporting safe, efficient, and reliable production operations. You will be responsible for machine setup, equipment adjustments, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and changeovers that help ensure high-quality products are produced while meeting operational and food safety standards. Your mechanical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous improvement will directly contribute to plant performance and productivity.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Equipment Operation & Setup
- Set up production equipment in accordance with established procedures and work instructions.
- Perform machine adjustments to maintain product quality, operational efficiency, and target production speeds.
- Conduct product and equipment changeovers as required.
- Ensure proper machine operation and readiness for production.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Troubleshoot and repair processing and packaging equipment as needed.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Use basic hand tools and mechanical troubleshooting skills to maintain equipment reliability.
- Assist in identifying and resolving equipment issues before they impact production.
- Utilize SAP and other systems to document maintenance and operational activities as required.
Quality & Food Safety
- Follow all quality standards, including:
- HACCP requirements
- AIB standards
- CTS requirements
- Metal detector verification procedures
- Packaging and product specifications
- Participate in quality checks and data collection activities.
- Ensure finished products meet established quality standards.
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis activities using tools such as:
- 5 Why Analysis
- Problem-solving methodologies
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency.
- Help identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and operational effectiveness.
Material & Inventory Support
- Maintain appropriate levels of supplies required for production operations.
- Ensure efficient use of consumable materials.
- Support rework activities as needed.
- Assist with inventory-related activities and equipment support.
Safety & Housekeeping
- Follow all plant safety policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Maintain work areas in accordance with 5S standards.
- Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Support plant safety initiatives and safe work practices.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas at all times.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Work overtime as needed to support production and preventive maintenance activities.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
(MUST HAVE)
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely troubleshoot processing and packaging equipment.
- Experience using hand tools in a manufacturing, maintenance, industrial, automotive, agricultural, or related environment.
- Ability to read and follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to read rulers and tape measures using both standard and metric measurements.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and push/pull heavy loads.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and walking.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE
(NICE TO HAVE)
- Two (2) or more years of manufacturing experience.
- Experience performing machine setup, changeovers, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Experience troubleshooting processing or packaging equipment.
- SAP experience or familiarity with maintenance management systems.
- Forklift Operator Certification.
- Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Experience participating in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience in a food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods (CPG) environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to:
- Moving mechanical equipment
- Vibration
- Airborne particles
- Hot and cold temperatures
- Wet environments
- Elevated noise levels
- Requires the use of appropriate PPE, including:
- Safety glasses
- Face shields
- Gloves
- Hearing protection
- Respiratory protection, when required
- Approved safety footwear
- Requires the ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Team-oriented environment requiring close collaboration with multiple departments.
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
