Maintenance Planner / Scheduler

Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and oversee theComputerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring accurate data entry and effective utilization across all departments.

  • Manage thework order processto ensure proper scheduling, prioritization, and completion of all maintenance tasks.

  • Optimize maintenance plans and schedulesfor predictive, preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance to ensure regulatory compliance, operational safety, and maximum equipment uptime.

  • Coordinate withproduction and planning teamsto align maintenance activities with production schedules and minimize downtime.

  • Collaborate with theSpare Parts Coordinatorto develop, implement, and optimize the maintenance kitting process.

  • Ensure all plant equipment is accurately represented in the CMMS with comprehensive and up-to-date preventive maintenance plans.

  • Partner with maintenance technicians to ensure work is completedon time, in full, and to quality standards.

  • Continuously improve existing maintenance processes and systems, driving greater efficiency and reliability.

  • Set up and validate PMs for all new equipment added to the facility.

  • Track and analyzemaintenance KPIs, developing and executing improvement initiatives based on performance trends.

  • Develop and maintain robust, detailedpreventive maintenance (PM) documentation.

  • Supportcontinuous improvementefforts and share best practices across departments.

  • Effectively plan and manageplant shutdowns, applying PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) methodology to drive performance improvements.

  • Plan and schedulethird-party maintenance activitiesand ensure all external work is accurately captured in CMMS records.

  • Serve as abackupfor the Spare Parts Coordinator and Maintenance Supervisor as needed.

  • Train and support maintenance staff in the effective use of the CMMS and related processes.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ yearsof experience in manufacturing, maintenance planning, or inventory coordination, with strong maintenance program management.

  • Proficiency inMicrosoft Officeand the ability to quickly learn new software applications.

  • Demonstrated ability to succeed undertight schedules and cost constraints.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities.

  • Solid understanding ofmanufacturing and packaging equipment, maintenance processes, and technical diagrams.

  • In-depth knowledge ofindustrial maintenance standards, regulations, and best practices.

  • Sound judgment with afact-based, objective approach to decision-making.

  • Strong grasp ofengineering principles and maintenance methodologies.
