Job Summary
We are seeking anexperienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Managerto lead our food safety and quality assurance programs within our food manufacturing facility.
This position is responsible for ensuringregulatory compliance, maintaining high-quality standards, overseeing food safety programs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong problem-solving skills and experience managing quality assurance teams in a fast-paced food production environment.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is requiredto effectively communicate with and support our diverse workforce.
What You'll Do
Lead and managethe Quality Assurance team, providing training, guidance, and performance development.
Oversee food safety and quality assurance programs, ensuring compliance with FDA, USDA (where applicable), HACCP, GMP, and company standards.
Develop, implement, and maintainquality control procedures, food safety policies, and preventive measures.
Conduct internal audits and facility inspectionsto ensure regulatory compliance and readiness for third-party inspections.
Investigate quality concerns, product deviations, and nonconformances, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor sanitation, environmental testing, and product qualityto minimize contamination risks and maintain food safety standards.
Maintain accurate documentation, including inspection records, audit reports, corrective actions, and regulatory compliance records.
Collaborate with production, operations, and sanitation teamsto improve processes, reduce waste, and maintain product consistency.
Lead food safety training initiatives, promoting accountability and a strong culture of quality throughout the facility.
Communicate effectively in English and Spanishwith employees, management, and regulatory representatives.
What You Bring to the Table
Education:Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, or a related field preferred.
Experience:3 5+ years of quality assurance or food safety experience in food manufacturing, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
Bilingual:Fluent in English and Spanish (Required).
Food Safety Expertise:Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, FDA regulations, FSMA, and food safety management systems.
Certifications:HACCP and PCQI certifications preferred.
Leadership Skills:Proven ability to lead, train, and develop quality assurance teams while promoting accountability.
Audit Experience:Experience with regulatory inspections, third-party audits, and corrective action management.
Problem-Solving:Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks, investigate issues, and implement effective solutions.
Communication:Excellent organizational, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
