Whole Foods Market is seeking Full Time Order Selectors for our Distribution Center in Austin, TX
This is a Perishable Distribution Center with Floral, Meat and Produce products. Temps range from
10 ( Freezer) to 46 degrees (including a banana and avocado ripening room!)
Base Pay: see bottom of page for wage range Incentives: $200 8 Week training completion bonus! $1000 milestone bonus! $500
6 and 12 months $1,100 a month potential based on productivity and accuracy
Shift: 11:30 AM shift start time, will work to completion, and have a rotating 4-day/ 10-hour workweeks including weekends and holidays. Schedules are subject to change (provided 3 weeks in advance)
Job Requirements and BasicQualifications:
- Use voice-based order system to select and palletize storeorders
- Manually stacking product onto pallets, wrapping, and preparing product forshipment.
- Respect all Good Organics compliances when stackingproduct
- Operating an electric/motorized ride on standing pallet jack (either single ordouble)
- Assist in cleaning the warehouse, maintaining a safe workingenvironment
- Comply with all applicable health and safetycodes
- Communicate and maintain employee safety and securitystandards
- Arrive to work on time, wear appropriate PPE, work all scheduled shifts, complete required trainings and attend requiredmeetings.
- Ability to read and speak basicEnglish
- Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader, Associate Team Leader, FacilityLeadership.
Skills/Requirements and ProfessionalKnowledge:
- Experience working with an electric/motorized ride on standing pallet jack (either single ordouble)
- Experience with voice systems aplus
- Team-player with positiveattitude
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meetdeadlines.
- Able to work well with others, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with littlesupervision
Working Conditions and PhysicalRequirements:
- Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach with or without reasonableaccommodation
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, Occasionally lift up to 70 lbs (team lift suggested for weights in excess of 70lbs)
- Work in a cold/wet storage facility environment (ranging from -10 (freezer) to 55 degrees Fahrenheit). General warehouse temps 34-46 degrees, Freezer -10 degrees
- Regularly getting on and off powered equipment, stepping on and off throughoutshift
- Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing andpulling
- Ability to use tools and equipment, including safety box cutters, electric pallet jacks and voiceequipment
- Must adhere to company dress code and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Availability Requirements:
- Average shifts are 8-10 hourslong
- Ability to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays asneeded
- May require the use of ladders.
The wage range for this position is $18.00-$28.90 Hourly, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers "Whole Benefits".
