Operations Supervisor - Jackson, TN
The Operations Supervisor oversees daily operational activities in the Control Room and Bulk Load Out, managing approximately 10 department employees, ensuring compliance with company policies, and driving process improvements to meet productivity, quality, and safety targets. This position is a frontline leader responsible for coordinating between Operations, Packaging, Mill, Control Room, Bulk Load Out and Commercial.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Control Room and Bulk Load Out employees and manage shift schedules.
- Develop and train new hires.
- Manage and support control room with troubleshooting.
- Monitor and manage bulk finished goods bin inventory in the towers and exterior bins.
- Support daily operations ensuring that production schedules are met with efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication with Operations, Packaging, Mill, Control Room, Bulk Load Out, and Commercial teams.
- Monitor equipment and machinery for any malfunctions, arranging for maintenance or repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
- Create daily packaging schedule.
- Support Packaging Supervisors with communication and/or troubleshooting.
- Support daily operations and ensure efficient workflow.
- Support control room coverage as needed.
- Support supervisor coverage as needed.
- Support auditing and enforcing line speeds.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, making adjustments to processes or resources to meet production targets.
- Monitor and report on KPIs.
- Identify process bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support Superintendents with site projects from initiation to closure by participating in project planning, coordinating with stakeholders, tracking progress, and ensuring that the project is delivered on time and within budget.
- Support continuous improvement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Have the ability to adapt to changes and be flexible enough to handle unexpected challenges.
- Enforce compliance with company policies and regulatory standards, including health and safety measures.
- Support the mill with granulations and/or transfers to keep the mills going.
- Support warehouse with changeovers and/or FIFO issues.
- Assist commercial with communication and transfers according to upcoming scheduling.
- Assist with system conflicts to run more efficiently
- Assist lab with Investigations
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Supervisory or team-lead experience in operations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with WMS systems and operational software.
- Ability to make decisions under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in manufacturing processes, quality control, and team management.
- On-the-job training plays a crucial role, complemented by structured training programs aimed at honing leadership skills, safety protocols, and efficiency optimization.
- Experience in coordinating production schedules, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives is highly valued, ensuring a seamless bridge between frontline operations and strategic management objectives.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
The pay range for this position is expected to be between:
$58,100.00 - $108,000.00
