Position SummaryThis position is responsible for customer account management and coordinating and executing trading activities for assigned commodities.Key Responsibilities

Manage the buying and selling activities for assigned commodities
Develop deeper understanding of supply and demand survey market conditions and analyze other economic forces in order to establish position in the market
Initiate negotiate and agree on terms of commodity purchase/sale contracts such as price quality quantity transportation timing and payment
Arrange efficient transportation of commodities both by truck and rail
Ensure thorough and accurate follow-up execution and closure to all contracts
Research and identify new customers and/or suppliers as well as develop and maintain regular communication to build and grow current customer relationships
Analyze commodity markets to identify trading opportunities
Gain basic understanding of arbitrage macro-environmental factors that impact the supply and demand of commodities and logistics process and decision making

Intermediate knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
Solves a range of straightforward problems
Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures
Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction

Education & Experience

Bachelors Degree required or the equivalent in work experience preferably in Agriculture Business Finance Economics or related major
2-5 years of experience required in commodity merchandising originations or trading
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

Prolonged period of sitting at a desk and working at a computer
