Help shape our approach to sustainable finance and support how FCC integrates environmental and social considerations into lending and investment decisions.
 In this 12-month term opportunity, you’ll lead meaningful work that supports Canada’s transition to a more sustainable agricultural economy. You’ll be joining a collaborative, values-driven organization that empowers its people and champions innovation. What you’ll do
  • Lead implementation of FCC’s Sustainable Finance Strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities and evolving sustainability priorities.
  • Oversee development and refinement of FCC’s environmental and social Impact Measurement and Management (IMM) framework, enabling data-driven decision-making and transparent reporting.
  • Direct creation and dissemination of sustainability-related insights across internal and external channels, supporting FCC’s thought leadership in sustainable agriculture.
  • Collaborate enterprise-wide with teams in Risk, Lending, Strategy, FCC Capital, and Communications to embed sustainability into FCC’s core business practices.
  • Cultivate external partnerships with industry leaders, government bodies, and sustainability experts to enhance FCC’s credibility and influence in the sustainable finance space.
 What we’re looking for
  • Proven experience in sustainable finance, sustainability strategy or climate risk management
  • Familiarity with agriculture, financial services or impact measurement frameworks is an asset
  • Strong leader and coach with a track record of building high-performing teams
  • Strategic thinker who can translate complex sustainability concepts into actionable business plans.
  • Excellent communicator with stakeholder engagement skills
 What you’ll need
  • A bachelor’s degree in the social sciences, finance, agriculture or a related field and at least eight years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Extensive, practical knowledge of all facets of primary and secondary research
  • Advanced proficiency in both official languages (English and French) needed
