Job Title: Sanitation Superintendent
Location: Green Bay
Reporting to: Sanitation Manager
Salary Range: $78,000-$100,000
Essential Job Functions:
- Lead and oversee sanitation supervisors and hourly sanitation employees to ensure all sanitation activities are completed safely, correctly, and on schedule.
- Train, coach, and develop sanitation staff; plan, assign, and direct daily work while evaluating performance and administering discipline in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Maintain accurate personnel records and ensure consistent communication, guidance, and support across all sanitation shifts.
- Ensure full compliance with JBS's sanitation procedures, USDA regulations, OSHA requirements, and all relevant food safety standards.
- Serve as the primary communication link between the plant and USDA regarding sanitation matters, and maintain strong working relationships with chemical suppliers.
- Monitor inventory, usage, and proper handling of sanitation chemicals and supplies to support efficient operations.
- Assist with managing the sanitation department budget, identifying opportunities for cost control and continuous improvement.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the Operations Team.
Experience Required:
- Must have previous management experience in a food processing facility
- Must have previous Sanitation experience.
Skills/Abilities Required:
- Effective communication both orally and in writing
- Capable of independent decision making
- Must have basic computer knowledge
- Strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
