Ourclient,anestablishedmanufacturingcompanyinSantaBarbaraCounty,isseekinganexperiencedHumanResourcesManagertoleadHRactivitiesforoneofitsmanufacturingoperations.

Thisisahands-onroleforanHRprofessionalwhoenjoysworkingdirectlywithemployeesandmanagersinafast-pacedmanufacturingenvironment.TheHumanResourcesManagerwillsupporttheorganizationacrossrecruiting,employeerelations,compliance,performancemanagement,training,workers?compensation,andday-to-dayHRoperations.

Theidealcandidatewillbeproactive,highlyresponsive,comfortableworkingindependently,andcapableofbalancingimmediateemployeeneedswithlonger-termHRinitiatives.FluencyinbothEnglishandSpanishisrequired.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES

  • ServeastheprimaryHRresourceforemployeesandmanagersatthefacility.
  • Managerecruitingandhiringactivities,withasignificantfocusonhourlymanufacturingpositions.
  • Developcreativeapproachestoattractingcandidatesinacompetitivelabormarket.
  • Supportonboardingandorientationfornewemployees.
  • Coachmanagersonemployeerelations,performancemanagement,attendance,disciplinaryactions,andotherworkforceissues.
  • Conductworkplaceinvestigationsandensureappropriatedocumentationandfollow-up.
  • Maintaincompliancewithfederal,state,andlocalemploymentlaws,withparticularemphasisonCaliforniarequirements.
  • ReviewandimproveHRpolicies,procedures,documentation,andemployeepractices.
  • Supportemployeetrainingandstrengthenmanagerandsupervisorcapabilities.
  • Partnerwithleadershiponemployeeengagement,retention,andworkforceplanning.
  • Supportworkers?compensationadministrationandcoordinatewithsafetyresourcesonworkplaceincidentsandrelatedinitiatives.
  • Ensureemploymentrecords,I-9documentation,andotherrequiredHRrecordsareproperlymaintained.
  • Supportleaveadministrationandotheremployeeprograms.
  • Monitorstaffing,turnover,recruiting,andotherHRmetrics.
  • ParticipateinHRprojectsandprocessimprovementsastheorganizationcontinuestogrow.
  • Workcloselywithoperationalleadershiptoidentifyworkforcechallengesanddeveloppracticalsolutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fluent/bilingualinEnglishandSpanish REQUIRED.
  • 5+yearsofprogressiveHumanResourcesexperience.
  • PreviousHRexperiencewithinamanufacturingenvironmentstronglypreferred.
  • StrongworkingknowledgeofCaliforniaemploymentandlaborlaws.
  • Demonstratedexperiencewithemployeerelations,investigations,performancemanagement,anddisciplinaryprocesses.
  • Hands-onrecruitingexperience,particularlyforhourlyorhigh-volumepositions.
  • Experiencesupportingworkers?compensationandworkplacesafetyinitiatives.
  • KnowledgeofI-9requirements,leaveadministration,employmentdocumentation,andgeneralHRcompliance.
  • Experiencecoachinganddevelopingfrontlinemanagersandsupervisors.
  • Strongcommunicationandinterpersonalskillswiththeconfidencetoaddressdifficultemployeeandmanagementsituations.
  • AbilitytoindependentlyprioritizeandmanageabroadHRworkload.
  • Strongfollow-through,responsiveness,andsenseofurgency.
  • Bachelor?sdegreeinHumanResources,Business,orarelatedfieldpreferred;equivalentexperiencewillbeconsidered.
  • HRcertificationisaplus.
