Job Title: Harvest QA Technician
Location: Green Bay
Reporting to: Food Safety Supervisor
Starting Pay: $23.80
Essential Job Functions:
- Auditing, documenting and enforcing USDA and facility regulations.
- Perform checks and verifications to ensure food safety and quality program is being followed.
- Monitor SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs and perform HACCP procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
- Must work with FSIS/USDA and present records per the agency's request.
- Aid Quality Assurance Supervisor and management in gathering data for investigations.
- Work closely with production associates in monitoring meat product specifications, correcting any deficienciesand notifying management of any violations of USDA regulations or HACCP requirements.
- Maintain work station by ensuring proper cleaning and regular maintenance is performed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Skills/Abilities Required:
- Must be able to work flexible hours, overtime and some weekends.
- Must be willing to learn all aspects of food safety.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills preferred
- Must be willing to work in both hot and cold environments.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation and quality assurance practices preferred.
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
