Baskin Livestock Inc.is currently looking to hire a new
Feed Mill Managerto supervise the feed mill and team. We operate two feed mills, including one facility that recycles items from the human food production stream (‘pre-consumer’) diverting it from its previous fate of entering a landfill, and processing the mix into either a high quality bakery meal or a sugar product.
Duties:- Oversee the production of both bakery & pet food production
- Oversee a production team of around 20 employees
- Manage production workers scheduling
- Manage annual reviews, hiring, and firing for production workers
- Aid production team as needed (loading trucks, unloading trucks, operating the mill)
- Track maintenance issues using CMMS software
- Schedule third party maintenance companies to assist with maintenance
- Schedule inbound van products
- Oversee compliance with OSHA regulations and FISMA requirements
- Assist with capital improvement projects
Qualifications:- Ability to manage a team of 20
- Ability to effectively communicate with the maintenance and trucking teams
- Experience and knowledge relevant to mill management
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience with skid steers, forklifts, and driving truck would be an asset
- Working knowledge of Spanish would be an asset
