Purpose of the Job

Lead and support North America on their Lean / Operational Excellence journey including program development, training, implementation and continuous improvement. Coordinate, as applicable, all US continuous improvement and waste reduction activities between the US sites. Identify opportunities for improvement and waste reduction within the business. Re-port and liaise with the Division as assigned.
Responsible for the functional area of Industrial Engineering

Key Member of the Division Best Practices and Continu-ous Improvement team.
Leader of the America?s workgroup team; Benchmarking KPI?s, Continuous improvement activities and sharing information between Affiliates.
Member of Operations Leadership Team (OLT)
Leader for the Lean initiative under the Op-erational Excellence 2020 Strategic Objective
Key Strategic Member of OSU Center for Operational Ex-cellence
Leader of FIS program- all sites
Key Accountabilities Fundamental Requirements

Lead the general development, support and implementation of the Lean / Operational Excellence Program / Journey (side by side with the VP of Operations).
Coordinate, manage, and track the Lean Journey Roadmap as set forth in the Division 2020 Strategy;
Initiatives & projects with milestones & timelines
Targets and achievements in waste reduction and cost improvements
Overall updates and reporting
Establishment of KPIs
Lead, coordinate and standardize the Continuous Improvement Process across all US sites. Provide support services as required.
Coordinate best practices sharing and standardization across US facilities. Serve as the Company representative on the Division Best Practices team.
Provides technical expertise, special analysis and consulting services as requested for all levels of management concerning matters of business process improvement, problem solving, man-ufacturing operations, supply chain and operational excellence.
Coordinate and standardize FIS employee suggestion program
Manage Projects / Programs as assigned
Work closely with sales, business development and customers as needed on Value Stream Mapping activities and integration as applicable
Identify specific areas for improvement opportunity throughout the value chain. Coordinate workshops/ projects as applicable to drive improvement in performance / cost reduc-tions.
Establish and maintain an operating & reporting structure with site continuous improvement coordinators and / or subject matter experts (SMEs)
Interface with the Division on:
Ensure Division standards, KPIs and Best Practices are in place
Sharing of the identified Best Practices
FIS Program and member of the Global Division FIS Team
Provide information & reporting information
Production & KPIs reporting as defined in Division standards
Lean Journey and Continuous Improvement Process activities, progress and results
Help create a culture of customer focus (internal & external) supported by the Operational Excellence Program.
Serve as the backup to the Vice President of Operations as the sitting Board member for the Ohio State University?s Center for Operational Excellence.
Manage the Industrial Engineering function including the establishment of oper-ating standards (as applicable), technical analysis, facility layout, etc.
Coordinate & drive IEE (Internal Equipment Effectiveness) improvement across the US manufacturing plants
Develop, standardize and implement for Company: Standards, KPI?s and documentation
Comply with the applicable compliance guidelines
Commit to act according to the key management principles and the safety first culture as de-fined in the safety first policy
Education:
BS degree in Industrial engineering, operations or like field required.
MBA or MBOE a plus
Master Black Belt / Black Belt or equivalent a plus
Significant Lean / Operational Excellence / Six Sigma training & experience required
Language:
English (fluent speaking and writing)
Travel:
Frequent travel to the US sites (35%+ travel)
Ability to travel to othe affiliates worldwide as required.



Know-how / Professional Experience:
Must have led at least the OE / CI / Lean / Six Sigma program for a single site / plant
Must have Industrial Engineering experience
Multi-site OE / CI / Lean / Six Sigma experience a plus
Strong computer skills including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Demonstrated change management skills is a plus
Lean manufacturing Experience ( culture and tools) a must
Ability to balance project vs. strategic initiatives and impact
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong organizational skills and an ability to balance multiple priorities in a constantly changing environment
