POSITION:Quality Assurance Tech
DEPARTMENT:Belly Complex
LOCATION:Ottumwa

QA Techis responsible for verifying that product codes, date codes, and belly codes are correct and that all productmeetscustomerspecifications.This positionperforms SSOP, conducts belly audits, and verifies net weightswhile also communicatingeffectively with USDA and production teams to address issues and ensuringcompliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and evaluate quality levels of product.
- Monitor GMPs, SOPs and applicable employee hygiene standards.
- Perform quality checks and audits on product at specified times throughout the shift.
- Ensure all company safety guidelines are being followed per USDA standards
- Work closely with management to achieve productionand qualityobjectives
- Perform various other duties as needed or assigned.Daily schedules and job assignments may vary.
Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally
- Excellentteamworkskills.
- Previous production experiencein a food processing facilityhighly preferred
- Solid tenure in past positions, 6-12 months required
- High School degree or equivalent required
- Bachelor's Degree ina sciencefield preferred
- Strong attendance (3 points or less for internal employees)
