One of our clients is currently seeking Production Manager for their facility located in Northeast Georgia. They are seeking an experienced, hands-onProduction Managerto lead daily operations in a meat processing facility. This position is responsible for ensuring production runs safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in compliance with food safety and quality requirements.

In a smaller facility, our Production Manager needs to be comfortable doing more than managing from an office. Looking for someone who canlead from the production floor, develop employees, solve problems, and keep production moving.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily meat processing and production operations
  • Lead, train, schedule, and supervise production employees
  • Ensure production schedules and customer requirements are met
  • Monitor productivity, labor utilization, yield, waste, and downtime
  • Maintain high standards for product quality and food safety
  • Ensure employees followUSDA, HACCP, GMP, sanitation, and company procedures
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality/Food Safety, Sanitation, Shipping, and Management
  • Troubleshoot production and equipment issues and help determine corrective actions
  • Maintain proper staffing and communicate daily production priorities
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and control costs
  • Enforce workplace safety policies and procedures
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Complete required production records and reports


Qualifications

  • Previous production management or supervisory experience inmeat processing, food manufacturing, or a similar manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership and employee-management skills
  • Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, GMP, and HACCP requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Comfortable working directly on the production floor
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of production equipment preferred
  • Experience with USDA-regulated meat processing is highly desirable
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
