Salary, depending on your experience, will start at $68000-$70000/year, in addition to benefits and some fantastic perks and discounts!
Your general responsibilities will include:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance (QA) policies and inspection processes, and SOPs.
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with food safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Supervise, co-ordinate, the activities of quality control technicians and production staff to ensure all manufacturing processes meet rigorous safety and quality standards.
- Interpret and implement quality assurance and regulatory standards.
- Manage sampling procedures and oversee data collection, recording, and reporting of product quality.
- Plan, conduct, and monitor testing and inspection of materials and finished products.
- Analyze statistical data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Lead internal audits, document findings, and support external audits conducted by regulatory bodies.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
- Manage risk assessment and risk management activities.
- Coordinate with HACCP teams to ensure compliance with regulatory programs (HACCP, GMP, SSOPs).
- Ensure documentation and compliance with industry and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present reports to communicate quality performance and outcomes.
- Identify staff training needs and organize training interventions to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Oversee document management systems to ensure all quality-related documents are up to date.
- Train staff on quality standards and job duties who work as quality assurance technicians.
- Conduct performance reviews of employees working under the Quality Assurance manager.
- Ensure food safety compliance and handle export-related tasks.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies (such as CFIA) on day-to-day regulatory issues and concerns.
- Processing permits from different establishments, including company licenses and amendments.
- May perform the same duties as a worker supervised and other assigned tasks as needed.
Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
