Position SummarySeeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker with expertise in progressive die stamping. This role is responsible for building, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting progressive dies to support high-volume metal stamping operations.
Key Responsibilities- Build, assemble, and maintain progressive stamping dies.
- Operate machining equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM.
- Troubleshoot die and production issues to reduce downtime and improve quality.
- Perform die repairs, sharpening, and preventative maintenance.
- Support die tryouts, inspections, and engineering changes.
- Interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, GD&T, and production specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams.
- Maintain tooling records and mentor junior toolmakers as needed.
Qualifications- 10+ years of tool and die experience, with a strong focus on progressive stamping.
- Expertise in multi-station progressive dies and high-volume metal stamping.
- Strong blueprint reading and machining skills.
- Experience with mills, grinders, EDM, and related tool room equipment.
- Knowledge of press setup, die timing, clearances, and tooling adjustments.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
