Rendering Operator 1 - Mechanical background required- 1st Shift

Position Summary:
Clemens Food Group is seeking a dedicatedRendering Operatorto support daily operations in our rendering department. This role involves the safe and efficient operation of equipment used to process pork by-products into usable materials, supporting our sustainability and food safety goals.

Starting Rate -$24.50 /HR

Schedule -M- F 3am-12pm

Key Responsibilities:

Operate equipment such ascookers, dryers, presses, mills, blowers, conveyors, and pumps
Managetruck loading,tanker sanitation, andyard truckmovement for weighing/loading trailers
Usetouchscreen controls,buttons, andswitchesto monitor systems
Performcleaning/sanitationduties includingtank washing,trash removal, andchemical handling
ExecuteLockout/Tagout (LOTO)procedures for setup, teardown, and light maintenance
Maintain compliance withHACCP protocolsusing an iPad for product safety and quality tracking
Work safely atheights up to 60 feetto clean silos and pipes
Useforklifts (PIT)and potentiallylow boysfor material handling
Handlepork offal(e.g., heads, blood, guts, hair) as part of raw material processing

Required Qualifications:

Comfortable working inhot and cold environments
Ability tolift 50 poundsrepeatedly
Proficient inbasic math(add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Mustspeak, read, and understand English
Willingness to workovertime and some Saturdays
Not afraid ofheights; must work on silo platforms (approx. 60 ft)
Experience or willingness to learnchemical and high-pressure hose use

Preferred Experience:

Experience in food production, sanitation, logistics, or mechanical roles
Familiarity withLOTO,HACCP, andindustrial cleaningprocedures
PIT certified or priorforkliftoperation a plus
