Plant Production Planner

Production Planner

Seeking an experienced Production Planner to oversee production scheduling and planning activities within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for coordinating production schedules, ensuring material availability, optimizing plant capacity, and supporting on-time delivery of customer orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer and operational requirements.


  • Coordinate production priorities based on capacity, labor, materials, and delivery commitments.


  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to address changing priorities.


  • Ensure materials, documentation, and resources are available to support manufacturing activities.


  • Collaborate with Operations, Purchasing, Engineering, and Plant Leadership to support production goals.


  • Procure project-specific materials and coordinate with suppliers to support production schedules.


  • Identify and resolve production constraints and scheduling challenges.


  • Analyze production performance and recommend process improvements.


  • Support inventory management, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.


  • Communicate schedule updates, risks, and production priorities to key stakeholders.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing operations, supply chain, or a related field.


  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.


  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling tools.


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.


  • Manufacturing experience required; precast concrete experience is a plus.
