Position SummarySeeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate machine tools used to manufacture, repair, and modify precision components, tooling, fixtures, and production equipment. Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate manual mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, saws, and related equipment.
- Manufacture, repair, and modify precision parts, tooling, fixtures, and gauges.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Select machining methods, tooling, speeds, and feeds for efficient production.
- Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments to verify accuracy and tolerances.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments.
- Support repairs and modifications to tooling and production equipment.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a safe, organized work area.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, production, and quality teams.
Qualifications- 3+ years of machinist experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
- Proficiency with manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, and precision measuring tools.
- Strong blueprint reading and machining skills.
- Ability to maintain close tolerances and produce high-quality work.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- CNC, EDM, or CAD/CAM experience is a plus.
