Job Title:Bacon Production Hourly
Location: Ottumwa IA
JBS Prepared Foods is hiring for quality, motivated, people to join the JBS team in our Bacon Department!
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilityinclude but are not limitedto:
- Manufacture product consistent with product specifications for the assigned work area.
- Complete mandatory safety training as outlined for the job assignment.
- Complete mandatory food safety/GMP training as outlined for the job assignment.
- Assist with product reconditioning as needed and directed
Qualifications/Requirements include:
- Minimum of 3 months experience working in a similarly situated manufacturing company in the previous 5 years; 1+ years of experience preferred
- Minimum of 6 months in previously held positions
Applicants should be willing or capable of working and performing jobs in the following areas in the plant:
- Work in an areas where livestock is being killed
- Work regularly in temperatures are near or below freezing (Coolers, Loading Dock Freezer)
- Work in areas with unpleasant odors
- Work in damp orcold conditions (35-45 Degrees)
- Work in extreme heat(minimal)
- Work in areas that require you to lift, pull, or push 50 lbs.
- Work with sharp knives or a cutting tool
- Willing and capable of working overtime when necessary (Heavy Season- August-February)
- Available to work days and nights
- Willing and capable of working Saturdays
- Willing and capable of working in or around bloody areas, in a fast-paced work environment, performing repetitive hand motions and body movements. Physical demanding jobs may take 5 to 6 weeks for the bodyto fully adjustto the work conditions, work environment, and job descriptions.
