TT (Tractor Trailer) DRIVER

We are looking for an experienced tractor trailer truck driver to serve our transportation and supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner.


Position Summary

POSITION: TT (Tractor Trailer) DRIVER

The TT Relief Driver (Tractor Trailer) is responsible for performingdrop-and-hook tractor trailer movesbetween company locations. This role ensures timely and safe transportation of trailers while maintaining full compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.

CDL CLASS A REQUIRED 

Schedule and jobs will vary from week to week.

Compensation

$27.68/hr.


CDL Class A Affiliate Driver:

The CDL Class A Affiliate Driver position will consist of transporting full and empty loads from Jersey City, NJ to Reading, PA daily.  The candidate must have a clean CDL Class A license and valid medical card.  The candidate will be employed by an affiliate company of Cream-O-Land located in Reading, PA: Clover Farms Dairy.

This is a Union position, and the candidate must join the Teamsters Local Union No. 429 located in Wyomissing, PA 19610 after completing a 90-day probationary period.  Health Benefits, Pension and 401K will be available after successfully joining the union.  Starting pay rate for this position is $27.68 per hour plus overtime after 40 hours.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • OperateClass A 45ft or 53ft tractor-trailerin accordance with company policies, procedures, and all applicable DOT regulations

  • Ensuretimely and accurate deliveryof products to various customer locations

  • Perform requiredpre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspectionsto ensure safety and roadworthiness

  • Secure loads for transport, ensuring all freight isproperly loaded and safely securedprior to departure

  • Communicate effectively withdispatchers, supervisors, and other team membersto support daily operations

  • Accurately complete, maintain, and submit all requiredlogs, reports, and paperworkbefore the end of each shift

  • Operate with flexibility, asdaily routes and schedules are subject to changebased on operational and routing needs

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)(required)

  • CurrentDOT medical card

  • Knowledge of and strict adherence toDOT Hours of Service (HOS)regulations

  • Clean driving record in accordance with company and insurance standards

  • Ability to perform drop-and-hook operations safely and efficiently

  • Ability to work flexible schedules as needed to support operations

  • Previous tractor trailer driving experience preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to climb in and out of tractor multiple times per shift

  • Ability to perform vehicle inspections, including bending, reaching, and walking around equipment
