Job Title:ShippingSuperintendent
Location:Omaha
Reporting to:Operations Manager
Essential Job Functions:
- Read and analyze, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
- Promote a safe environment following state, federal and company safety standards.
- Follow and enforce company SOP's in accordance with USDA/HACCP requirements
- Assist employees with jobs as necessary, lifting boxes, operating pallet jack or forklift, operating label machines, wrapping combos etc.
- Follow up on any repairs or maintenance required, ensure all employee licenses and health checks are up to date.
- Oversee, motivate and manage supervisors and employees to guarantee highest productivity daily
- Communicate closely withTraffic and Customer Service departments as necessary.
- Sign out supplies for employees as necessary and ensure employees wear proper PPE.
- Work closely with Purchasing and Production to maintain and order dry ice and pallets as required
- Work closely with third party cold storage facilities to transfer products timely, complete orders and maintain inventories.
- Ensure orders are billed appropriately and work withAccountingto complete timely invoicing of completed orders.
Required Experience:
- Degree in operations management, supply chain management or related field preferred but not required
- Experience working in manufacturing, shippingor food production preferred but not required.
- Team oriented, Good Oral and Written Communication Skills.
Skills/Abilities Required:
- Capable of lifting boxes weighing up to fifty pounds.
- Be able to work a flexible schedule, including some Saturdays& Sundays.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Be able to demonstrate patience and effective listening
- Must be highly motivated, responsible and organized.
