Shipping and Receiving Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Shipping/Receiving Supervisor to oversee the daily operation of the Shipping Department Personnel and all conditions necessary to assure support of departmental goals and objectives.

Responsibilities/Objectives

• Direction of work crew, assuring presence of all shift personnel with readiness to work.
• Ensure all power industrial units are safe to operate for your department.
• Train all shipping personnel of job functions, responsibilities and safety program procedures.
• Recommend promotion/dismissal of shipping personnel to Shipping Manager
• Communicate daily events with Shipping Manager and previous/subsequent shipping supervisors and forepersons.
• Conduct annual physical inventories and daily/weekly cycle counts as necessary.
• Ensure proper rotation of products (FIFO). Monitor aging inventory reports. Take appropriate action to minimize aging inventory issues.
• Verify that quantity produced meets our order needs
• Ensure that all inbound loads/items are received, stocked and delivered to the appropriate parties in a timely manner
• Assist in back-in of delivery trucks, using blocks behind trailer wheels for safety.

Education & Experience

• Power Industrial Training Certification
• High School Diploma or its equivalency in experience and/or training.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook
