(Night Shift: 9:30 pm - 7:00 am, occasional Saturday's)

Essential Job Functions
  • Lead, schedule and coach Weigh & Price team members across all third-shift lines; set clear expectations at every pre-shift meeting.
  • Ensure every case is weighed, labeled and priced correctly: right label, right date code, right customer spec.
  • Verify scale accuracy and label printer setup at startup and changeovers; escalate equipment issues to Maintenance quickly.
  • Partner with QA on holds, mislabels and corrective actions. Make sure root causes get fixed, not just reworked.
  • Coordinate with Production and the Loading Dock so finished product moves without trailer or cooler backlogs.
  • Enforce GMPs, food safety and plant safety rules; lead safety talks and on-the-floor training.
  • Track output, downtime, giveaway and labelling errors; report shift results to the Department Supervisor.
  • Hand off cleanly to the next shift with clear notes on open issues, holds and staffing.
  • Drive attendance, accountability and retention. Build a crew that people want to stay on.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA in business management or equivalent work experience (five to ten years) in the food processing industry.
  • Good mathematical background to be able to perform calculations on yield, productivity, timecards, reports, etc.
  • Able to evaluate forepersons fairly and objectively; strong human resource skills.
  • Comfortable with basic computer systems (Excel, SAP, WMS or labeling software).
  • Able to stand for prolong periods of time on a concrete/metal grate floor and work overnight and weekends.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams, maintain accountability, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Understanding of GMPs, HACCP and food safety requirements.
