Home Daily - Class A CDL Required - Stand-Up Forklift Experience Required - 1st & 3rd Shifts Available
Turano Georgia Bread is seeking an experienced CDL Shipping Spotter / Yard Driver to join our Shipping team. This is more than a traditional yard spotting position—you'll play a key role in keeping our operation moving by spotting trailers, operating stand-up forklifts, assisting with shipping activities, and occasionally shuttling trailers between company facilities.

Position Overview
The CDL Shipping Spotter is responsible for safely moving trailers throughout the facility, supporting shipping operations, operating material handling equipment, and ensuring products move efficiently from production to customer delivery.
Responsibilities
- Safely move trailers between loading docks, staging areas, and parking locations
- Spot trailers for loading and unloading operations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractors and trailers
- Operate a stand-up forklift to load, unload, stage, and move finished products
- Assist the Shipping Department with warehouse operations as workload requires
- Shuttle trailers and equipment between Turano facilities as needed
- Inspect trailers and report equipment or safety concerns
- Maintain accurate shipping documentation and trailer locations
- Work closely with Shipping, Production, and Transportation teams to maintain efficient operations
- Follow all DOT regulations, company safety policies, GMPs, sanitation, and food safety requirements
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time
- 1st and 3rd shifts available
- Weekend, holiday, and overtime availability required
- Up to 60 hours per week based on production needs
- Home daily
- Fast-paced commercial bakery environment
- Combination of indoor warehouse and outdoor yard work in all weather conditions
- Frequent climbing in and out of tractors, trailers, and forklifts
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Stand-up forklift experience required
- Previous yard spotting, trailer spotting, or commercial driving experience preferred
- Safe driving record
- Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing shipping environment preferred
- Ability to safely back trailers into loading docks
- Must be available to work 1st or 3rd shift, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
- Ability to work independently while maintaining constant communication with the Shipping team
