Progressive row crop producer in
Nebraskais seeking a skilled and dependable
Equipment Operatorwho is also willing and ideally able to drive a semi for local grain hauls. This role is flexible and can be tailored to the individual s strengths, but preference will be given to candidates who are open to doing both equipment operation and truck driving, depending on the time of year.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate a wide variety of modern farm equipment used in planting, spraying, harvesting, and general fieldwork (corn and other row crops).
- Haul grain and farm commodities locally using semi-trucks and hopper-bottom trailers; home every night.
- Perform daily equipment checks and preventive maintenance to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Adapt to varied tasks and changing responsibilities throughout the season.
- Be punctual, dependable, and trustworthy able to work independently and take initiative.
Qualifications:- Strong experience operating farm equipment; familiarity with precision ag technology a plus.
- Willingness and ability to drive truck when needed;CDL required or willingness to obtain one.
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail in performing routine maintenance and minor repairs.
- Self-starter with problem-solving skills and a strong work ethic.
- Flexible, family-oriented mindset; willing to pitch in wherever needed.
