Controller Opportunity | Construction IndustryI'm working with a growing construction company that's searching for an experienced Controller to lead their accounting function and partner closely with executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Lead
all accounting operations, including general ledger, job costing, accounts
payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and financial
reporting.
- Manage
monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure the timely
preparation of accurate financial statements.
- Oversee
construction accounting activities, including revenue recognition,
work-in-progress reporting, retention accounting, project costing, and
project closeout.
- Direct
tax compliance efforts, including federal, state, and local filings across
multiple jurisdictions.
- Coordinate
external audits and maintain accurate, audit-ready financial records and
supporting documentation.
Qualifications- Strong
construction accounting experience required; electrical contracting
industry experience is highly preferred.
- Deep
understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, taxation, audit requirements,
and internal controls.
- Proven
experience managing external audits and partnering with tax advisors.
- Experience
improving accounting processes, controls, and operational efficiencies.
