We are an establishedHouston-area international grocery export companyspecializing in American consumer brands and serving more than 30 international destinations.
We are seeking an experiencedFinancial Controllerto lead our financial operations. This position will initially work directly with our current Financial Controller as part of a planned leadership transition. Over approximately9–12 months, the selected candidate will learn our business and systems before assuming full responsibility for the Financial Controller role. Our current Controller will then transition intoInternal Audit and Information/Data Systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Manage and oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with senior management on financial strategies and business objectives.
- Streamline processes and leverage technology to improve business operations.
Education, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
- 3+ years of Controller or similar accounting management experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger, and month-end close.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
